****If you WANT to donate (dont feel like you have to) go to the "Chip in" box on the right hand side of the blog and use paypal*****

So, things seem to have calmed down with our insurance and the IVF/IUI fees...but we will still have a significant amount of $$ to pay out of pocket. So, it's "Chip in give-away time!!"

Allie at Word Candy Vinyl (which I LOVE) has graciously agreed to donate a
$30 gift certificate and free shipping
to me for this give away. I cannot thank her enough, this is SUPER sweet of her!!!!!!
Let me tell you about word vinyl. I am addicted! This is similar to "Uppercase Living" that Lianna loves so much. Allie has so many pre-made designs to choose from but will also work with you to do custom pieces. She is great to work with and super fast. We have emailed back and forth several times a day in order to get my order just the way I envisioned it. Vinyl can go on any surface (from appliances to cabinets to mirrors to walls to tiles in the bath/shower to car windows!). It is removable and will not harm the surface, but cannot be "reused" once it's been taken off. Read the instructions at the bottom for entering your name in the drawing! (you don't have to be local OR have a blog to enter...)
I wish I had more room in my house, but here is what I have:

Above is a saying that we just put on the mirror of our guest bathroom. This was one that was offered on Allie's blog/website. It is in silver so it's a very subtle touch!

This one was on of her creations! I think it's so funny! Obviously, it's in the Laundry room.

On the dishwasher in my kitchen. (If you read "Bring the Rain" then this might sound familiar to is so inspiring to me in the storm that we are walking through!). I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and wanted to be surrounded by things that inspire me. This one was custom...we went back and forth on font size and color.

This was one of the first ones that I ordered (along with the Laundry). It is above the doorway to the dining room from the kitchen. Seeing this pic makes me realize how WHITE my walls look...I am wanting to paint SO badly, but that ALSO means that I would have to take this down and that makes me sad.

The next few are my kitchen cabinets. Like I said, I like to be surrounded. Here is the full effect.

Originally, I had these verses hand written on paper, burned the edges, and taped them onto the cabinets. But now...
These were bigger than I originally thought they would be, but I LOVE THEM!! They are more subtle than a white piece of paper sticking out and they coordinate with my backsplash and hardware (see first pic) SO well!!! I couldn't be happier!

This one cost less than $15 total. You order your last initial, name (pick color), and saying (either "families are forever" or "est ____" I picked both so it's a tad smaller).
Then, you go to Home Depot and but a floor tile of your choice to match your house. They cost all of $1 or $2.
And VOILA! Perfect wedding gift or anniversary present!
Here is how the give away will work. I will enter your name a certain ## of times according to these guidelines:
  • Leave a comment on this post...1 entry please leave your name and if you don't have a blog, leave your email address!
  • Leave a comment and post about the Chip-In/Giveaway...2 entries Let me know when you post a link to the giveaway.
  • Donate $5-$10 to my Chip-In Fund...5 entries
  • Donate $15-$25 to my Chip-In Fund...10 entries
  • Donate $30 or MORE to my Chip-In Fund...20 entries
All entries must be received by the deadline which will be Saturday Feb. 21st. I will draw a name out of a hat on Sunday the 22nd. Remember that we are raising $$ to have a baby that we have wanted desperately for 3 years now. (Funny how tax $$s will pay to kill a baby but not give one to those who want it so bad-sorry, off my soap box). We are so thankful to Ally and to everyone who contributes and spreads the word about our give-away!
Check out Ally's page and look at the AWESOME ideas that she has (I love the ABC's for a playroom!)!!!!!! Thanks for playing This is good stuff!!!!!! I have more that I want to order, I wish that I could enter!!
With love,

That is one of my soap boxes, too- go ahead and pay to kill babies, but don't help give them life to people that want the babies. Ridiculous!!!

We are also donating $ once I figure out how to work it. I wish we could donate more, but we're living on loans for the year at least! Good luck with all of your give aways/donations!

On your "Kiss the Cook"...paint the walls, but just frame the saying. That would still work.
